How about God's "Mother's Day gift" to us? I love applying the Gospel today to the Blessed Virgin: "You did not choose me, I chose you." So true in the case of Mary. God chose her. And then it goes on: Chosen to "go and bear fruit" ... so that "whatever you ask" will be given to you by my Father. Wow, so Mary's role is precisely to pray for our needs. Since her vocation as the Mother of God is unique, so also is her role of intercession.
And our part? Gratitude! "Thanks Mary - Happy Mother's Day!"
