Getting God

(Gospel) Do you get God? Are you hearing him, or yourself?

The disciples said to Jesus, “Now you are talking plainly, and not in any figure of speech."

“Do you believe now? Behold, the hour is coming and has arrived when each of you will be scattered to his own home and you will leave me alone."

Truly hearing God is hard. It's too easy to hear yourself - what you wish God were saying - instead of what he really wants to tell you.

The only way to be sure of hearing God is too shut yourself up. Stop talking. Stop worrying. Stop begging. And listen.

When silence rules your soul, the whisper of God's plan will ring out loud and clear. That's when life starts.
