Who's the Real Oddball?

(Gospel) John called a sin a sin, and then got killed for it.

 No backing out - he defended his faith until death. Someone had the guts to tell Herod adultery is evil.

Today there are few Johns. Maybe that's because we live so comfortably that we've got too much to lose.


John was NOT in any way comfortable. And he was called the greatest born of woman by Christ himself. And yet, why is it that so many look down on a man like John. Why do so few try to imitate his virtues? Why do we consider a man like that an oddball?

    Because we live in an aggressive, secular culture! Sheep led to slaughter by willingly and ignorantly taking the hand of the enemy :(

    A LOT of people, in general, are not living God-like lives. As you say, they are thinking of their external needs, rather than the deep internal ones. I love John, and I have full faith that I would stand up for what is true and just in the eyes of God. There is no one that I care if I please, or whose love I desire more, than God.
