Today's Gospel reminded me of the cultural differences I have experienced over the last years. Some peoples are well known for their external kindness; they agree willingly - are overjoyed it seems - to take on a task, however once you leave they quickly forget.
Other nations are more known for their reserved first impressions, however once convinced, they give their heart and soul to the task without respite.
Is one better than the other? Or do not both have qualities that Jesus praises?
Receiving the Gospel with joy is certainly a good thing, however so is perseverance. The BEST Christian strives for both; and the BEST Christian bears the most fruit!
