Are you Gospel? Or are you also a hypocrite at times?
- Like when you give more importance to your clean shirt, than to attending the poor guy who just tripped and spilled ketchup on you.
- Like when starting dinner on-time overrides the kind manner with which you should always treat your spouse.
- Like when room cleanliness is of more value than teaching your teenage son how to handle his emotional stress.
- Like when getting a high grade is more to you than caring for your sister in need.
Jesus doesn't tell the Pharisees that the law—clean shirts, grades, punctuality or cleanliness—are bad; he just asks them to place genuine charity above all else.
