Jesus hits you with two questions, one right after the other: "Why do you not know how to interpret the present time? Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right?"
In other words, look around - are they really happy who rely on looks, power, sex, wealth, pleasure and the esteem of others? Why do you let them influence you? Why do you care?
FAITH is that virtue which allows you look your life, as it were, straight-in-the-eye and to judge what is right - and Jesus, in today's Gospel is inviting you to learn how to do it.
