Divine Eye

Most focus on the widow in this passage - what about Jesus? We can learn so much about the Lord's attitude in this Gospel.

He goes to the temple with a plan in mind.

He sits down, and waits patiently.

He observes with his divine eye each person presenting something to the Lord, regardless of gender, weight, class or age.

Then finally he calls over his disciples and teaches them a lesson that will remain for all time.

Jesus is not indifferent to what we do - He is happy with even the smallest actions - and he does see them all - because he looks beyond the action, he looks inside ... he sees the heart!
