Good vs. Evil

(Gospel) Who prefers darkness?

Those whose deeds are evil to begin with.

So, taking poles about what the people think could lead the masses into ruin, if the majority of the people are living in sin. In other words, democracy is no absolute. And once the just become a minority, we are headed for destruction ... morally speaking. In part that is already happening in many countries across the globe.

This is what Benedict XVI often called the tyranny of relativism. This leads us also to conclude that GOOD needs to be at least more than 50% in order to have an effect over EVIL.

And yet, the Gospel sheds a bit of light: Jesus didn't come to condemn, but to save. And "EVERYONE who believes" will be saved.

This reminds me of the devil's words concerning the Cure of Ars. It went something like: "With just three men like you, my kingdom in France would be ruined."

In other words, GOOD is so much more powerful than EVIL. Your good deeds, no matter how small, have much more effect than their evil ones. So hold high your head, and live with faith in God's plan to save the world ... with YOUR help.
