I wonder what Peter was thinking while he was sitting in the boat that night. He had denied our Lord 3 times. And all night long they caught not a thing. Interior turmoil and exterior too.
But when he sees Jesus, he doesn't react like a puppy dog caught in the act: Tail between it's legs, eyes down, drooping character.
Rather, Peter leaps into the water and swims ASAP to meet the Lord. That's the spirit Jesus wants. He knows none of us are perfect, but he does ask us to repent as soon as we get the chance.
Tail high ... waging!
