we aren't much different than certain young punks who would approach me or my siblings while growing up and ask a seemingly innocent question about "that street ... right over there" and then once you looked - WHAM! They would slam a fist into your nose.
It didn't happen just once while growing up, but after the first attempt we learned not to trust "innocent questioners."
Jesus knew from the beginning that the Pharisees were not sincere. His actions continued to be loving, however. And from his respectful and kind answer comes down to us a beautiful teaching about God's plan for marriage "from the beginning of creation."
Even from evil God brings out good. And so can we.
