(Gospel) "My Lord and my God." These are the words of St. Thomas once he saw the risen Lord, and was able to stick his fingers into his hands and side.
These are also the words many of us are taught to say while the Sacred Body and Blood of Christ is being elevated during Mass.
Faith is surely a gift, but in a certain sense it is also like a muscle. Muscles have been given us freely by God, yet it is still our duty to use them frequently, such that they can grow. And growth is also a gift of God, but it only happens when we practice and practice.
