Woe?

Jesus preaches woe? Not exactly. What he does is remind us of a simple reality. His gifts of life and freedom can be used for good and for evil. Our choices have consequences. Today's Gospel isn't supposed to scare us, but to show us just what's at stake in today's showdown between good and evil in our life.
