"And they no longer dared to ask him anything." Today's Gospel ends on a sad note. True, Jesus has showed up his enemies once again, and at the same time taught us a beautiful lesson that the Father is a God of life and happiness.
But instead of taking Christ up on the invitation to repentance and eternal life, the Sadducees stop speaking with Jesus.
Do we do the same? When we don't get the answer we wanted, do we clam up on Christ?
The good news is, even if you have, he's still out there waiting. But you have to make the first move. He loves you too much to break through your shell.
