Jesus Knows...

By Benjamin O'Loughlin

What makes Christians different from any other religion?

Simple: our God knows what a Big Mac tastes like.
"He becomes one of us."
Yesterday, with those simple words, Benedict XVI touched on the heart of the Christian faith. Jesus is a man. To redirect our path towards heaven, he decided to come down and share it.

God isn't distant. He cried. He laughed. He went to school. Learned to read and write. He got blisters and wore out sandals during his treks across Palestine "doing good." He experienced birth, life, and death. All for us.

He knows the taste of joy and sorrow, because he's one of us. And that's what Christianity is all about.
