Vending Machine God

(Gospel) Is God the ultimate vending machine?

"Amen, amen, I say to you, you are looking for me not because you saw signs but because you ate the loaves and were filled."

Today Jesus clarifies that he is not the ultimate vending machine.

Yes, he loves us. Yes, he wants to fill our needs. But our biggest need isn't stuff - loaves. Our biggest need is Him.

Happiness requires more from us than a buck-fifty and pushing the right button. To be happy we need to pay attention to God's sign, and follow them down the road towards heaven... without wasting time in front of the vending machines, because they aren't God.
